San Juan Nature Walk

  • Andrews Lake Upper Parking Lot P7HQ+QC4 Silverton, Colorado Silverton, CO, 81433 United States (map)

Want to know more about nature? Flora, fauna, geology, clouds, water, you name it: our trusty crew of volunteer naturalists can enlighten you while on a pleasant stroll in the San Juan Mountains.

Every Friday from June through August, SJMA is offering this fun, fact-filled, moderate nature hike. We’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 1-2 miles. Wear walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather.

Where: Meet at Andrews Lake upper parking lot, scenic view and picnic area. Turn left before the main parking by the lake.

Cost: Free, but donations greatly appreciated!

What to Bring: Backpack with your water, snacks, camera, and binoculars. Bring hiking poles if you like using them. Sorry, we love our four-legged friends, but no pets allowed.

Registration is required. Register at https://sjma.org/event/sjnw-2025_07_18/
