Iron Horse Bicycle Classic

Come down to Memorial Park to watch the finishers come in! Or challenge yourself to register for this classic road ride from Durango to Silverton.

The most popular event in the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, the McDonald’s Citizen Tour winds through 50 miles of Colorado’s finest scenery. Cyclists conquer two mountain passes higher than 10,000 feet on this point-to-point ride, along with more than 6,000 feet of vertical climb and two breathtaking descents.

The McDonald’s Citizen Tour is a non-timed, non-competitive event. Competitive riders can register for the Coca-Cola Road Race. Come out for the Second Annual Silverton Business Summit, hosted by San Juan Development Association. This year’s theme is Economic Sustainability: Driving Innovation in Small Mountain Towns. Parent Teacher Book Club

Join us for a thoughtful and engaging Parent & Teacher Book Club, a collaboration between the Silverton Public Library and Silverton School. We’re reading Raising Mentally Strong Kids by Daniel Amen and Charles Fay, exploring strategies to help children develop resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. Each meeting, we’ll discuss six chapters, creating space for meaningful conversations and shared growth.
